I am healthy, spayed, and recently had a successful dental cleaning. I haven’t had any accidents even when my foster mom runs errands and I’m alone for a couple of hours. However, at night, I sleep soundly without any issues. My foster mom has me on a schedule, taking me out every 2-3 hours during the day. In terms of house training, I have been accident-free for a couple of weeks now. I also adore sleeping in bed with my foster mom and siblings, but I am just as content sleeping on a nice dog bed next to the bed if you prefer. So, if you have stairs, I can climb up the couch to join you. Although I haven’t quite mastered getting up on the couch, I am quick to navigate up and down stairs. Once my foster mom finishes work, I love nothing more than snuggling on the couch with her.
Sometimes, I like to join my foster mom and my foster siblings by laying under her desk. While toys are not something I fully understand yet, I do enjoy crinkly toys when I’m in the mood for some playtime.ĭuring the day, I find comfort in my cozy bed within my open crate. I love sunbathing outside, as it’s a new experience for me. Thanks to my foster home, I’m gradually getting comfortable with car rides, and I now look forward to our weekend trips for my pup cup treat. Every day is a new adventure for me as I continue to learn and grow. I had never experienced the concept of family or enjoyed the freedom of a yard until recently. When I first arrived, I was afraid of everything – cars, hands, and even people. Therefore, I need a patient and understanding family who can provide me with the support I need. While I have come a long way, there are still moments when I feel nervous and freeze up. Since being in my foster home, I have been making great strides in learning about love and the goodness of humans. Hello, my name is Poppy, and I’m a former breeding mama who is ready to embrace the joys of family life in my forever home.
